I always have loved wood as a material for creating beautiful objects. My career as an artist began with making one-of-a-kind furniture. For the past few years, I have been exploring non-functional, sculptural objects. Recently, I was given a trove of aerial photographs of Florida landscapes, which brought back memories of my previous career as an environmental consultant. My current work combines these wonderfully colorful aerials with wood and metal into wall sculptures that present the viewer with an array of shapes, colors and environmental imagery.
